We are very conveniently located just off the A30. Daisy Fays Nursery at Chiverton Cross is a spacious, bright and inviting nursery registered for 36 children per day, between the ages of 3 months and 5 years.
Our baby room is home to the Bumble Bees. The area provides a stimulating room, which is designed and organised to promote planned developmental goals and to encourage learning through open ended play. This can provide many opportunities for the children. We have a cosy and calm sleep room and a garden area solely for the babies.
Our larger room is home to the Caterpillars. These are our babies who have moved to the next developmental stage and need different challenges. Joining them are our older toddlers, the Ladybirds, who are developing their cognitive development through role play and sensory exploration.
All the children can benefit from our creative room, which is used to promote critical thinking and creativity through dance, music and sensory play.
Our pre-schoolers are known as the Butterflies, as they are preparing to spread their wings and become more independent. The children have more focused activities but, at the same time, take independence of their own learning.
Our second garden is for the older children and promotes all areas of learning, with a mud kitchen, where the children can use the nature around them to create soups, an assortment of physical activities and mark making equipment.
Our team are passionate about the children and their roles they play in, helping the children to develop at their personal rate, maintaining a healthy and happy experience.
Our aim is to help create happy and confident individuals with a passion for learning.
Our nursery currently employs 10 members of staff who are a minimum level 3 qualified in Early Years or equivalent, DBS checked, Paediatric First Aid trained and Level 2 in Safeguarding. We have 2 apprentices working towards level 2 and 3 qualifications.
The nursery provides daily healthy snacks and fresh hot lunches. Daisy Fays can also provide snacks and lunches for required dietary needs.
